Dependent variables included physical wellness, life satisfaction, mindfulness, and subjective vitality.Data was analyzed using SPSS software. Results indicated that Yogaparticipants perceive higher levels of mental wellness, physical wellness, and subjectivewell-being. Additionally, Yoga participants, as compared to non-Yoga participants, were more likely to perceive higher levels of perceived wellness, in almost all domainstested, than exercisers versus nonexercisers.The results of this study bring merit to Yoga participants' perception of wellness.Further studies could investigate a variety of topics. Understanding how long it takes aYoga participant to feel higher levels of perceived wellness may be useful in designingintervention studies. Additionally, looking at different styles of Yoga, specifically āsana, meditation, and pranayama techniques, and implementation (home versus studio) wouldbe useful in the design of future research studies.

Sharma is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and has served and trained at the Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.He is a certified member of the Earth Association for Regression Therapy and a certified teacher of transpersonal regression therapy. He has been presenting his research work at the World Congress for Regression Therapy since 2011. A trainer of the Heartfulness system of meditation, Dr Sharma is currently pursuing a PhD to study the effects of meditation on the body, mind, brain, heart and aura.
