FAR FROM OLYMPUS In his latest book, writer Christian Pan departs from the contemporary realistic settings of his earlier books, and enters into a world inspired by Greek myth. Intense, mysterious, and sensual, FAR FROM OLYMPUS explores the complicated and intimate interactions between human beings, but also between men and women with centaurs, sirens, and satyrs. Each chapter in this volume--"The Clags", "The Drowned Kingdom", and "Goat Rave"--may be read as stand alone story, but together they build a larger mosaic investigating the nature of power, sex, control, and freedom. While some of these characters are part-animal, FAR FROM OLYMPUS underscores how human beings are often the most savage.
