--ABOUT THE AUTHOR: David Zanca has over thirty-four years of experience in information technology, having served the majority of his career at FedEx. He served as the IT executive responsible for enabling FedEx to be the leader in ecommerce delivery technologies. What David is perhaps most remembered for during his years at FedEx is his leadership style where team members were respected and valued, that he was accessible and engaged in the day-to-day activities of the organization, and that integrity was critical.
Prior to joining FedEx, David worked eleven years with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He holds an MBA from Emory University and a bachelor's degree from Duke University. He holds multiple professional certifications. David has served in positions of lay leader, trustee, and elder at churches where he and his family have belonged.
David and his wife, Ginny, have been married for over thirty-five years and have two children. His interests begin with family activities and include travel, hiking, college basketball, golf, running, and reading non-fiction.
