Baby Steps

- Habits of Completion

Om Baby Steps

Infants are born with the unique trait of visualization. They see what they want even before they really see it. They are dreamers who believe that anything is possible, and instinctively move towards the goal with a 20/20 vision without compromise. The most impressive nature of the infant is that it does not see failure as an option. Their 20/20 vision allows them to sees only one color, and that color is success. Essentially there are only two types of habits: productive and unproductive. Even if we are apathetically stumbling towards our destination, we are still moving forward. It is not the perfect pace that you envisioned, but it is still productive. If adults could revisit their successes, and not their failures, they could neutralize hesitations of trekking forward towards their predestined prize. If somehow we could substitute negative thoughts for positive ones, we would develop habits of completion. We could move from theory to practice by not overthinking, overdoing, and overcompensating, because those who admire and respect our work are eagerly and patiently anticipating its release.
