The author, Dr. Ron Tyler, a retired professor of English, is a Bible teacher, small group leader, former church elder, and one-time New Age cult member. As such, he brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge, experience, and research regarding spiritual discernment and true versus false spirituality. He lives with his wife, Virginia, in Arizona.
