The Twenty-First Century

Twice a year, millions of people all over the world celebrate the defining events of Jesus Christ's life: His birth and His resurrection. These events, as well as His teachings, represent the turning points in our history, our culture, and our civilization regardless of whether people believe in the reality of the stories and truthfulness of the teachings. In The Twenty-First Century: A New Reading of the New Testament, Nataliya Poullo presents her version of the story of Jesus Christ based upon her research and analysis of ancient historical texts.

Generally speaking, all of our thoughts and ideas regarding these life-changing events in Christianity are primarily based upon the stories presented in the four canonical gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Experts say that the first written document describing life of Jesus Christ, the gospel of Matthew, was written in approximately 60 AD. Before that time, the story travelled via spoken word repeated many times.
Over two thousand years have passed since the birth of Christ, and we now know approximately the time, the place, and who was there. The Twenty-First Century: A New Reading of the New Testament explores all facets of these historical events.
