The Needfire

Far in the north of Scotland, Norah Mackenzie’s new home at Corrain House is a chance for a place to call her own. But from the first night, Norah knows that something is wrong: her husband Lord Barland does not seem to know who she is, she is plagued by visions of spiraling roots, and by whispers on the wind. The housekeeper Agnes Gunn, is by turns unnerving and alluring, and harbouring uncanny secrets of her own.
