The Bible often uses words such as "immeasurable, unsearchable, beyond limits" to describe God. One of the concepts of God's being that is beyond our human ability to comprehend is His eternalness. The fact that He is eternal means that He existed before time began, He will continue to exist after time ends, indeed, He created time. One word used, even by mathematicians, to describe something that has no limits is the word "infinite." Our human, finite mind can only truly comprehend things that have a beginning and an end. Yet man's finite lifetime exists within God's infiniteness. How does our human finiteness compare to God's infiniteness? Why would a Being so great as God be concerned about someone so insignificant as me? How does He show that concern? How does God's infiniteness effect what our future will be like?
