The Goose who was Scared to Fly

Take a trip to Ocean Pines, Maryland and meet our main character Lyon, a Canadian Goose. Lyon has a fear of flying and throughout this book you see his journey of him getting over that fear and having help from his family, best friend, and airball team. You may be wondering what airball is, well it's a sport that's similar to American Football but for Geese. I got this idea while on vacation in Maryland. My family and I were passing through the town I grew up at (Ocean Pines) on the way home and when I looked up, I saw Candian geese flying and that's when the idea came into my mind. What if I were to make a children's book. It's funny how ideas pop into your head sometimes. Not only was I inspired to make this book based off where I grew up and some of the most common animals there, but I also wanted to have a message in my book. The main character is scared of flying and I wanted to be able to create a message that no matter what your scared of you can do it. I know anxiety is huge and occurring in people younger and younger every day, so that's where I also got some inspirations from as well.
