Stage IV

Stage IV is a compilation of poems written from the year I turned 40 to my present state of 45. 45... the year the breast cancer returned and more aggressive than ever before... it has metastasized to my lung. How do you face it... mortality and how do you shuffle off loss let alone life? I write... and call back the pieces to myself... the pieces of myself... and place them on pages. And all that was once gone in a moment... returns for an eternity... Thank you, God... for my daily bread... and for all the books I've written and read.
