Sharks are Our Friends

Imagine you are living in a rockpool that is uncovered by the sea twice a day. Here you will meet lots of different animals that the sea brings in, sometimes dangers and don't forget to watch out for the greedy seagulls!
This book meets a type of baby shark who looks scary to the animals in the rockpool and we learn why it is good to talk about our worries and fears.
At the end of each book, there is a page for adults to share with the readers that produce interesting facts about the animals or provide more depth on the issue depicted in the story.
I am a marine biologist working for over 40 years in this field and have a deep love and understanding for the animals and plants of our oceans. I spent much of my childhood 'rock-pooling' and this led me onto a lifelong career protecting and learning about the sea and its inhabitants. Maybe one child reading these books will feel inspired to learn more and explore the sea for themselves thus setting them on to a fantastic journey of discovery.
