Paw Prints Over My Heart

Jake is my best friend, and when the vet gives him only six months to live, I decide to make the best of that time. The poor boy has been through hell, and deserves for the last moments of his life to be extraordinary. I don't know how I will survive without him by my side, but I hope Max and I can make his remaining days the best he's ever had. But I worry when I notice his decline is progressing rapidly. Was the vet right about the time frame, or do I have less time left with my best friend than I thought?
