Addiction is a disease. It is a cancer that grows like a tumor within our loved ones: a tumor that cannot be removed. Addiction has no cure-but addiction, like many other diseases, can be treated successfully. And like many other diseases, if left untreated, it can be fatal.
In Parallel Worlds, author Kathleen Arch narrates frank revelations and observations of her experiences living with her son's addiction.
