Papal Paralysis is the first book to show how conservative clerics defended their position on the grounds that contraceptives were intrinsically evil, while critics within and outside the church called for accommodations in order to save lives. This book highlights the intransigent Papal teaching on contraceptives which led to the deaths of thousands.
