This autobiography of the life of Bill Maddox, from his first desires to be a broadcaster, sitting before a small lamp (he used as a microphone) at the age of 8, traverses through the turbulent decade of the 1960s, and the devastating aftermath of the 1970 Lubbock tornado and for a total of 57 years, most of which he served as a television news anchorman.
