With her marriage over, her career in tatters, and her mother incapacitated, Sarah has no choice but to return to Lord Howe Island to run the family store. Paradise to most, to Sarah the tiny island might as well be a prison, where she is trapped with her two ex-best friends, Floss and Jules.

Floss should be happy. She married her childhood sweetheart and has five gorgeous kids, but now everything feels wrong. When a chance encounter makes her realise how close she is to losing everything, the only person she can talk to is the woman who pushed her away.

Jules doesn''t need to see Sarah to be reminded of the friendships she has lost - her four-year-old daughter reminds her every day. But now she has a reason to want to talk to her once best friend, and maybe try to set things right.
