Made of Shores

This book redefines identity within contemporary Judeo-Argentinean fiction through the transforming notion of Jewishness and national identity in Argentina. Abandoning traditional definitions, it analyzes how feelings of alienation and nostalgia echo an era of transculturation and floating borders. Made of Shores places Jewish Argentinean fiction within the context of Latin American literature and Judaic studies by reviewing novels published in post-dictatorship Argentina.
