Om LIVING IN BALANCE
The book Living in Balance: A simple guide to finding happiness and living your best life resulted from years of working with patients and speaking to people about the many stressors they have faced. These stressors included depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and unrealistic expectations. This book discusses what restrains people from feeling their best and finding happiness. This book identifies some common problems and provides coping skills to help people handle their stressors productively and effectively. This book can provide a road map to happiness when you feel like you do not know where to begin.

Stern's "Living in balance," is a succinct guide to living a healthy life. A simple, approachable read with an intuitive layout- it can be easily navigated time and time again. It is precisely what makes a self-help book actually helpful. The "points to consider" sections offer great summaries of the focal points, which can even be used as personal mantras on the reader's journey towards improved mental health and balanced living. The final section on having a balance with others and maintaining overall balance is the real gem of the book. As Stern instructs: "Use the tools you have learned in this book when times are getting hard," and you will not be disappointed. The down-to-earth narrator creates a centering foundation upon which balance can be achieved in its raw, most honest form. Could Stern have tapped into the key to finding sustainable happiness even during one's darkest moments?
