Emily Anne, a fourth grader, is faced with a difficulty due to the dishonesty of her best friend, Sandi. Emily Anne and her friends decide to give their friend, Bobby, a birthday party, but Sandi takes over the planning and lies about who will be invited. While everyone is excited about summer vacation and the birthday party for Bobby, Emily Anne is not, because she is faced with a difficult decision. Will Sandi's bad choices ruin the last days of school, or will Emily Anne rise above that? She experiences disappointment, self-doubt, and tears, but watch her shine in the end.
