Jesus, the Port in a Storm

These poems were written in a time of post-traumatic stress. My husband had throat cancer. He underwent four years of treatment and seven surgeries to save his voice, and at times, his life. Afterward, his trauma created a time of great stress for both of us. I developed serious symptoms as well. We walked through our recovery time together under Gods loving care. Issues from our individual past came up to the surface. Our faith in God was being challenged and stretched. These prayerful poems were the ways I dealt with my feelings and experiences. Gods mighty power was made manifest in these difficult times.
