Is It Finished or Not?

Om Is It Finished or Not?

In my Christian lifetime I have been a member of seven different churches. Every one of those churches, and probably your church as well, has some reason why you need to confess your sins according to1 John 1:9 or the "Lord''s Prayer." One of the churches taught that confessing your sins was necessary to retain your salvation (Matthew 1:21, 1 Timothy 1:15). A different church taught that you confessed your sins for "practical" righteousness (Romans 3:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21). A third church taught that you confessed your sins for sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30, Hebrews 10:10). Each verse that is in parenthesis states that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished each of these―salvation, righteousness, and sanctification―by his finished work on the cross. For example, 1 Corinthians 1:30 says Jesus Christ became both your righteousness and sanctification. If he did become your righteousness and sanctification, then why do you need to confess your sins for them? Is it finished (John 19:30) or not? This book contains three Dialogues, three Articles, and three Bible Studies to assist you in establishing the answer to that question for yourself. It is my hope and prayer that this book validates in your heart and minds an unequivocal YES IT IS FINISHED!!
