Marriage has been the topic of choice among people today, as the status of marriage has changed dramatically over the years. Yet how does society''s view on marriage differ from God''s design for marriage? In his new, nonfiction book, God''s Plan for Marriage, author Harry Simon presents a biblical perspective on the rite of passage known as matrimony, discussing the roles of men and women in marriage that also encourages joint parenting of children. Harry expounds on the Bible''s statement of "cleave and leave" to represent the need for unity in marriage between the spouses, seeing the man as the spiritual leader of the household but also seeing the woman as equally yoked with the man in respect and duties of the home. What couples should focus on most is putting God first in life, consulting with Him on daily matters and conflict resolution as they live purposes in Christ.
