Rose Masih grew up having no assurance of eternal life, and no hope of seeing God face to face. She thought she was cursed. She hated that she had been born a woman, especially a Muslim woman, and was lost in the endless chores and duties she had to complete to earn her place in heaven, however difficult that would be.
On the outside, she was a pious, legalistic, and devout Muslim, but inside she yearned to find her place on this earth and in heaven.
She didn't know how or if she would ever be free from this curse until she met Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible. The more she learned about Him, the freer she felt.
