This devotional collection of thoughts expresses the author's reflections over a year's time as she opened her head and heart to God's wisdom and intervention throughout daily walks. These thoughts document a year that was filled with many transitions after retirement from a 35 year teaching career and reflect how God touches our lives through the many simple things encountered on a daily basis. Through feathers, pebbles, puddles, and rainbows, God taps us on the shoulder and reassures us of his amazing love and grace. As He continues to reveal His plan and purpose for us throughout all dimensions and seasons of our lives, we are blessed with an awareness that each step of our journey brings us closer to the fulfillment of the joy He intends for us to know. Deborah E. Matson is a retired elementary school teacher and lives in Nebraska. She is the proud mother of four grown children and is blessed to have twelve grandchildren who often provide the inspiration for her writing. This is her first published work.

THE BIBLE AND STORIES ARE RELEVANT TODAY, IT MIRRORS EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES. Every story is a relevant example for us to learn from and use in our lives today. We need to realize that the Bible sets the precedent or standard for Christians to live and govern their lives. It is for this reason that we have to read or listen to our Bibles daily, as often as we can, so as to know what to do because this is The Lord's journal and instructions for us to follow in any life situation. Some of us sometimes question how authentic is the bible? Is there hope against all hope in a corrupt and fallen world? Is the God of our fathers still relevant in today's world?Yes to all questions above. 1. Believe in His promises that whatever He says, will come to pass and since He said that He has a good plan for our life to prosper us and give us a hope and a future, it is so. 2. Trust that whatever He has called us to do, which is in His plan, He will equip us with all the innate abilities and strength required to complete His will.3. We are encouraged, that no matter what the enemy throws our way, discouraging us, God will in a positive way, create ideas, concepts and strategies to overcome any adversary. A life of hope begins with the belief in the Lord, trusting that whatever He promises, will come to pass. With this hope in the Word of God, it does not matter what you are going through, whether good or bad. This is in order to perfect His plan and His will in your life to bring forth a successful future and a hope; so therefore be extremely encouraged.
Jory received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from ORU. Yet, he didn't know how to communicate who he was. Even with a MBA in Marketing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Jory did not know how to market himself. He even pursued a PhD in Entrepreneurial Leadership, but realized the Lord did not lead him to pursue that degree. See, it's not about how much information you have. It's about how much you know who you are in Christ. Knowledge has no value if the person having the knowledge doesn't understand who he or she is.In Portions of God, Jory exposes readers to a new perspective of God's armor so that they might excel in their God-given uniqueness. Jory illustrates each portion of God's armor with biblical insight and personal episodes. Jory Miller is married to his unique and wonderfully made wife, Victoria Miller. They have the privilege of being parents of an outstanding young boy, Jory Alan Miller.
Roland M. Hess is a layman (just part o' the flock), not an experienced author, minister, or man of accomplishments that would draw attention-, or give credibility-, to this book, and considers that one of it's strongest virtues: this is not an opinion piece or work of the author's brilliance, but proof that scripture answers ALL the questions, plainly. They are available to anyone willing to read it, no arduous research by attested seminarians or other great intellects of principles beyond the understanding of the masses. Concerned with mis-portrayal and misunderstanding of Christian marriage in society, the author decided to "stop being one of the good men who allow evil to succeed by sitting by and doing nothing", Mr. Hess wrote this small book so that anyone may have a quick synopsis of relevent scriptures at hand when confronted with misconceptions of the relationship God used to tell everyone how much he loves us and how inimate he wanted everyone's relationship with Him to be. God bless you all, and all love!
The author has written a true to life story of a young woman, Marlene Bryson, who experiences post-partum depression while her newly married husband is overseas during the war. Added to her sorrow is the fact that her baby, Harry, is the result of rape. She must decide her next move if she is to hold onto her sanity while living against her will in the stately Chicago home of her In-laws, the O'Coins. Her ultimate decision brings her young life full circle as she creates a future without her baby in a city far away among total strangers. Her painful efforts at self-fulfillment and a purposeful life result in marriage with Jonas Maxwell while her first love struggles after war with her loss of and his own pain of PTSD. The reader meets up with a cast of characters who become the fabric of Marlene's colorful and sometimes drab existence during the 1940's before Pearl Harbor and the Berlin Airlift in 1948: Col. Charles Lindbergh and Chennault, Doolittle and Rickenbacker, her staunch allies, Dolly and Sonja, a DP from Lithuania, Lincoln Maxwell, her son and Phoebe Bagwell, a reporter in Chicago. Enter her changing world. This is Anthony's first full length novel. He has drawn from life experiences in human services as a licensed social worker with a graduate degree in counseling psychology. His travels have taken him all over the country, but now he calls Central Massachusetts his home where he lives with his wife Barbara Judith and their array of household pets.
It's a state that could be influenced by hardships, people or even yourself: the desire to know, "Where are you going" and how to embark on this self-discovery journey. However, the best first step to take is asking God to come into your life as part of a spiritual transformation. In the new Christian self-help guide by author Dennis Lee, From Here to There: A Journey to Spiritual Transformation, you are introduced to entering through the narrow gate, realizing you are a new creation in Christ when you accept Jesus as your Savior. Dennis provides Christian readers with biblical principles to help grow their relationship with God, while also seeking more time alone with God. The necessity for humbly surrendering to God in every area of life is also discussed, as well as the power of the Holy Spirit found in prayer; all part of living on purpose for God.
There is something about the word "horny" that makes people blush instantly, especially church people. But let's face it, we live in a world where sex is more accessible than education-where internet porn, sexting, strip clubs and dating apps allow spouses to secretly cheat on one other. How are we supposed to survive until Christ's return unscathed by all of these entanglements? This book is for every highschooler that has to sit through sex-ed and hear about the physical ramifications of having unprotected sex, but is never made aware of the spiritual ramifications. This book is for every single that loves Jesus, but yearns for the company of the opposite sex and is finding it hard (literally and figuratively) to keep sane in a world that promotes sexuality at every turn. This book is for every married couple that experienced sex prior to their wedding day and occasionally have thoughts, make comparisons, and/or has fantasies about someone other than their spouse. This book is for every divorcee whose body was used to being intimate with their ex on a regular basis and is now frustrated as to what to do now that that person is no longer in the picture. This book is for every woman that doesn't understand why sex is so high on the list of needs for men. This book is for every man that doesn't understand why sex isn't ranked higher on the list of needs for women. Help! was written to give you just that-help. With biblical principles and personal examples, Dr. Scruggs outlines ways in which we can navigate through the ups and downs of sex, love and relation-slips. Dr. Mike Scruggs (D. Min., United Theological Seminary) is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Light of the World Ministries (affectionately known as the "Light" House) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a respected spiritual leader, social reformer, and lover of his city. He is honored to be married to his wife Kisha and father to their two children.

I found out God will make a way when there is no way. Maybe most of the time I guess he's figgering how to make a way outta the mess we made a things. In discussions of Islam one calls to mind the life we have as Christians or as secularists in a society created largely by Christians. We not only have the blessings of Jesus but we have individual freedom and equality before the law. Things are different for those who follow Islamic law, shari`a. Lacking in freedom and equality they are bounded by a totalitarianism that reaches into their family and community and into their economic and political life. The law even causes setbacks in the growth of capital of ordinary Muslims-but not of governments, and this imbalance sets the scene for tyranny. Furthermore, theology blocks Muslims from analyzing why. After a good life a Muslim male looks forward to eternal life attended by 70 female beings and also by his own wife (restored to her youth). The Muslim quakes in fear of his God of indomitable will who should never submit to man's ideas of justice but follow his own whims. Good Christians look forward to eternal life in the glorious presence of God, that presence being their reward beyond imagining and beyond words. They are awed, yet warmed and encouraged by the constancy of God, a God of the Word, of reason, justice and unfathomable love. Jesus gave His final commission to a few specific disciples about preaching the Gospel around the world, and He confirmed the separation of church and state. The followers of Muhammad, on the other hand, interpreted his commission as being for all Muslims to convert people around the world. This they are expected to do by taking hold of governments and enacting laws, shari`a laws, favorable to Muslims and unfavorable to others. This has been followed by caliphs, successors to Muhammad, and also by tribal leaders and tribesmen whose erratic raids left a path of destruction and cruelty, the reenactments of which we are witnessing in parts of Islam today. Christians and other minorities decline dramatically wherever tribes follow an extreme expression of shari'a. While this book contains some original insights, it is a compilation of the wisdom of many scholars and reporters, for I am not an academician. I am an at-home mom married to a teacher, and the sources I use are available to anyone. I do not know of another book on Islam and its law that weaves together nearly all aspects of human endeavor and thus offers a composite guide about Islam for Muslims, Christians, Jews and others. Emma Paul Smithson

This fictional story is loosely based on the author's life. It centers on a young widow with an autistic daughter who struggles to make it on her own after the sudden death of her husband. After reaching out to a support group for help, she received more than she was hoping for in an unexpected event that brought two families together. Louder Than Words is an emotionally driven story that explores the bond shared between two little girls and gives insight into the world of autism. This is a story that will captivate readers from start to finish. Author's note: It is my prayer that sharing my story with you will open you up to the very realness of God; to the truth that we are deeply affected by everything that we experience, from our creation in the womb, through our childhood, and all the way through old age. All life is a gift, no matter how short or how long, and every experience has the potential to wound or heal, steal or bless, kill or give life. We don't usually get to choose what happens to us, but we can choose to trust God through it and keep our eyes on eternity. Breila Joy used poetry from a very young age to give voice to the loneliness, fear and depression that plagued her for years. Louder Than Words, her first novel, chronicles the experiences that brought her to a fullness of joy and a freedom from depression. She is a compassionate wife, mother, and friend who finds her identity in Christ. Overcoming fear has allowed her to share her experience, strength and hope with others and flourish in a career that would previously have terrified her. She lives in Texas with her husband, Nathan, where she works as a hair stylist in her own salon. They have 3 amazing children named Isaiah Coal, Mercy Haven, and Roman Lee. Her second book, "Not Juliet," is already in process. www.Facebook.com/SowingTears
LLANO GOLD is a book for young adults in the midst of launching their lives' adventures. It is a story of consequences resulting from choices and commitments made with care, sometimes careless, reasoning. The story is universal. Told initially as a desire to share treasured family stories of pioneers of great courage who settled the vast plain known as the Llano Estacado, the author envisioned a thoroughly objective, historical account of Christian courage with God as the silent, central character. In an effort to include her personal testimony, the manuscript took on an unexplainable energy of its own as the Holy Spirit began to write the chapters. It becomes the story of universal man or woman who, forsaking the world, chooses God. The first section "Trumpets" speaks of perils and pitfalls while coming to a knowledge of the truth. "Transformation," the middle and longest section, is the time of "renewing the mind" as one begins to engage with the Father in the events and advents of his or her life. Being transformed "into the likeness of Him" can be a quick work for some, but is usually a period of months or years as he or she eventually comes into "Triumph," the third section. These three seasons are parallel to the last three feasts of God as described in Leviticus chapter 23: Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. It is the story of Revelation, Redemption and Restoration as one daughter of the King of Kings lived it out in her generation on the High Plains of Texas and many other places.

In the Christian fantasy novel The War of the Scepter, written by author Jarrod Williams, the boys have time-traveled to the Katlands, and to the command of Walty Klive Widget, Emperor of the Dag Empire. It seems the evil emperor of the Klivean Empire, Stephen Klive Widget II, has stolen a powerful scepter and the boys have been recruited to help reclaim it. Soon they become warriors in training, and maturing men, in this coming-of-age tale that is a good vs. evil battle that also carries biblical undertones and truths.
