After completing their training as foresters, Brier and Reid return to Mac'tire for some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, leisure will have to wait. Soon after they arrive, Flint goes missing. The prime suspect behind his disappearance is a dead man. Brier and her friends must hasten to the Dukedom of Lupus in order to rescue Flint and confront an unexpected threat. Opposition encroaches from all sides as they battle not only present foes but the past as well. They will have to rely on God and each other to save their friend and themselves.
