Contending for the Faith

As Christians who are privileged to know the truth, we must point people to the truth, the way, so that they can be saved.
For us to successfully do this, we must be content with faith. This means we must strive to surmount the challenges against our faith, we must continue to defend our belief and keep affirming against all odds that it is the "truth".
Our faith is what we hold sacred; it is our hope and trust for the supernatural. It is our complete trust and confidence in the one true God. This faith we are talking about is our strong belief in the doctrines of our religion based on spiritual conviction.
You may agree that, if this is what our faith is, then it is worth contending for. The fundamental Christian doctrines must be protected because it is the differentiating factor from other religions. It is these fundamentals that make our faith genuine. Christendom is controlled by faith. It is this faith itself that makes you accept Jesus as Lord. Everything you will ever do will have to be by faith. True faith in God must both accept and defend the fundamental Christian doctrines as revealed in the Bible. But without faith, it is impossible to please him.... Hebrews 11:6a.
