  • av Walter Russell

The author challenges the conventional wisdom that light is just another physical entity. He outlines a new role of light in the formation of the three main components of the universe - God, still light; the dual light waves emanated from God and the material world both organic and inorganic which is made of light bent into various spiral forms. Reading this book "is an important step toward understanding both the intellectual and spiritual balances that exist in the universe."

GOD Works Through YOUTHIS BOOK is for those who have never tried to prove God, those who think they havetried, those who have tried and failed, those who still have hope and for those whoare daily proving Him. This book is for YOU.The purpose of this book is fivefold:1. To bring you into a true relationship with the Laws of God.2. To give you a tried and true remedy for human ills, problems and needs.3. To make real the things which you know but have not experienced.4. To give form and substance to your prayers, treatments and desires.5. To lead you to discover the Real You.J. Lowrey Fendrich tells the story of a Chinese philosopher who once came to a missionaryand offered to pay him to translate a portion of the New Testament for him each day. Themissionary agreed, and for the first lesson opened the Bible and read aloud the words,After this manner therefore, pray ye: Our Father -To his surprise the aged Chinese stopped him and said, "That will be enough for today."A year later he returned and said he was ready for the second lesson."I thought," said the missionary, "that you employed me to read to you every day.""I did," replied the old man, "but it took me a year to understand this much."The words in this book are only challenges. The real substance of the lessons is containedbetween the lines. This means that you should mark, learn and inwardly digest them asyou read. As Isaiah said, you will have to wait upon the Lord. You will have to conditionyour mind through meditation and contemplation. The more you study the lessons, themore light and understanding you will receive. "Mary kept all these things and ponderedthem in her heart [Soul]."One of my earliest efforts to put the Truth into print was called This Works. It has longbeen out of print, but requests for copies still reach me. Those who so faithfully rememberthe pamphlet will recognize that the material it contained is embraced by this volume.I have written half the book, but you must write the other half - not on paper but in yourdaily life. It remains for you to embody the thought in your consciousness. May each hourspent in the study of these lessons bring you manifold blessings!- ROBERT A. RUSSELLDr. Robert A. Russell was an exceptional author and had an uncannyability to make the most difficult spiritual subjects easy to understandand apply. While known primarily for two works "GOD Works ThroughYou" and "GOD Works Through Faith" he was in fact a prolific authorwith over 16 titles to his credit. We have spent the last several yearstracking down his legacy of works and will be publishing them all inthe coming years, each a spiritual classic in their own right.Barry J Peterson, CEO Audio Enlightenment

    128,-

Part of the bestselling Capstone Classics Series edited by Tom Butler-Bowdon, this collectible, hard-back edition of The Prophet provides an accessible and insightful introduction to this timeless spiritual workThe Prophet is an inspirational book of 26 poetry fables written in English by Lebanese-American poet and writer Kahlil Gibran. The book provides timeless spiritual wisdom on universally-shared aspects of life, such as giving, buying and selling, beauty and friendship, eating and drinking, crime and punishment and spirituality and religion. The book follows Almustafa, a man who has waited for twelve years for a ship to take him from the island of Orphalese back to his home. He has come to know the people on the island, who consider him a wise and insightful man. On the day Almustafa's ship finally arrives, he feels a deep sadness. The local elders ask him not to leave. Almustafa speaks of his philosophy of life and the truths he has discovered to the gathered crowd. His words have an almost magical quality to them. As he prepares to board his ship, it becomes clear that Almustafa's words do not refer to his journey home, but rather to the world he came from before he was born. Inspirational and extremely readable for modern audiences, this classic text teaches us:* We should be glad of the experience of coming into the world* The separation you feel from other people is not real* True marriage gives both people space to develop their individuality* Enjoying your work is expressing your love for whoever benefits from it* Sorrow makes space for more joy in another season of lifeFeaturing an insightful introduction from the editor, The Prophet: The Spirituality Classic is a must-read book for anyone interested in exploring the undeniable truths of life we all share.

A mass-battle fantasy game in which players can field combined armies of humans, elves, goblins, dwarves, and more, and develop that army over the course of a campaign. Empires have fallen, and the land is broken. The great oathmarks that once stood as testaments to the allegiances and might of nations have crumbled into ruin. In this lost age, fealty and loyalty are as valuable as gold and as deadly as cold iron, and war is ever-present. Created by Joseph A. McCullough, designer of Frostgrave and Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago, Oathmark is a mass-battle fantasy wargame that puts you in command of the fantasy army you've always wanted, whether a company of stalwart dwarves or a mixed force with proud elves, noble men and wild goblins standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the battle-line. Fight through an integrated campaign system and develop your realms from battle to battle, adding new territories, recruiting new troop types and growing to eclipse your rivals... or lose what you fought so hard to gain and fall as so many would-be emperors before you.

The definitive account of the Stonewall Riots, the first gay rights march, and the LGBTQ activists at the center of the movement. "Martin Duberman is a national treasure."-Masha Gessen, The New YorkerOn June 28, 1969, the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York's Greenwich Village, was raided by police. But instead of responding with the typical compliance the NYPD expected, patrons and a growing crowd decided to fight back. The five days of rioting that ensued changed forever the face of gay and lesbian life.In Stonewall, renowned historian and activist Martin Duberman tells the full story of this pivotal moment in history. With riveting narrative skill, he re-creates those revolutionary, sweltering nights in vivid detail through the lives of six people who were drawn into the struggle for LGBTQ rights. Their stories combine to form an unforgettable portrait of the repression that led up to the riots, which culminates when they triumphantly participate in the first gay rights march of 1970, the roots of today's pride marches. Fifty years after the riots, Stonewall remains a rare work that evokes with a human touch an event in history that still profoundly affects life today.

    - What We Can Learn from the World's Most Successful Civilisation
    av James Suzman

_______________'Insightful ... Avoiding both modern conceits and romantic fantasies, Suzman chronicles how economics and politics have finally conquered some of the last outposts of hunter-gatherers, and how much humankind can still learn from the disappearing way of life of the most marginalized communities on earth.' - Yuval Noah Harari, author of Sapiens and Homo Deus'Fascinating' - Sunday Times'Elegant and absorbing' - Financial Times'Profoundly moving' - Irish Times_______________From acclaimed anthropologist James Suzman, a portrait of the 'original affluent society' - the Bushmen of southern Africa - and what their way of life can teach us today. What can we learn from the Bushmen? If the success of a civilisation is measured by its endurance over time, then the Bushmen of the Kalahari are by far the most successful in human history. Anthropologist James Suzman spent twenty-five years in Southern Africa documenting their way of life and encounters with modern society, gathering invaluable lessons about work, wealth, happiness, equality and time.'To know what it is like to live as people lived for most of human history, you would have to find one of the places where traditional hunting-and-gathering practices are still alive.Fortunately for us, the anthropologist James Suzman did exactly that. The news here is that the lives of most of our progenitors were better than we think. We're flattering ourselves by believing that their existence was so grim and that our modern, civilized one is, by comparison, so great.' - John Lancaster, The New Yorker

    235,-

"The people in these photographs had no walls up. They just accepted me and permitted me to take their photographs without any self-consciousness." -Roy DeCaravaThe Sweet Flypaper of Life is a "poem" about ordinary people, about teenagers around a jukebox, about children at an open fire hydrant, about riding the subway alone at night, about picket lines and artist work spaces. This renowned, life-affirming collaboration between artist Roy DeCarava and writer Langston Hughes honors in words and pictures what the authors saw, knew, and felt deeply about life in their city. Hughes's heart-warming description of Harlem in the late 1940s and early 1950s is seen through the eyes of one grandmother, Sister Mary Bradley. As she guides the reader through the lives of those around her, we imagine the babies born, families in struggle, children yet flourishing. We experience the sights and sounds of Harlem as seen through her learned and worldly eyes, expressed here through Hughes's poetic prose. As she states, "I done got my feet caught in the sweet flypaper of life and I'll be dogged if I want to get loose." DeCarava's photographs lay open a world of sense and feeling that begins with his perception and vision. The ruminations go beyond the limit of simple observation and contend with deeper meanings to reveal these individuals as subjects worthy of art. While Hughes states "We've had so many books about how bad life is, maybe it's time to have one showing how good it is," the photographs bring us back to this lively dialogue and a complex reality, to a resolution that stands with the optimism of the photographic medium and the certainty of DeCarava's artistic moment. In 1952 DeCarava became the first African American photographer to win a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship. The one-year grant enabled DeCarava to focus full time on the photography he had been creating since the mid-1940s and to complete a project that would eventually result in The Sweet Flypaper of Life, a moving, photo-poetic work in the urban setting of Harlem. DeCarava compiled a set of images from which Hughes chose 141 and adeptly supplied a fictive narration, reflecting on life in that city-within-a-city. First published in 1955, the book, widely considered a classic of photographic visual literature, was reprinted by public demand several times. This fourth printing, the Heritage Edition, is the first authorized English-language edition since 1983 and includes an afterword by Sherry Turner DeCarava tracing the history and ongoing importance of this book.
