Om Beatles and Country Music
The Beatles and Country Music is a new, fresh, and insightful look at the Beatles through their connection to country music. Don Cusic, author of a number of books on country music and a long-time citizen of the country music community in Nashville, has unearthed previously unreported stories and facts about the Beatles as a group and as individuals that will cause long-time Beatles fans to look at the group a little differently as well inform a new generation of Beatles fans who don't know the group's history or roots. Don Cusic is the Curb Professor of Music Industry History at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He is the author of 26 books, including biographies of Roger Miller, Eddy Arnold and Gene Autry. He is also the author of Elvis and Nashville, James Weldon Johnson: Songwriter, edited the lyric collections of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson and has written two novels. As a songwriter, he has had songs recorded by Bobby Bare, Ray Stevens, Jim Ed Brown, Chris LeDoux, Lynn Morris and others. He has produced albums on Bobby Bare, Jim Ed Brown and (with Mike Curb) Melinda Doolittle.
