Amazing Miracle of Oregon

In the Spring of 1968, after serving as pastor of the Assembly of Jesus Christ (Valley Christian Center) for two years and struggling to heal the wounds of a church split, I met Tom Welch. My life was forever changed. At that time it did not appear I was standing at a major cross-roads, but looking back over the years, I know the needle of the compass did an about face, and I began walking a diff erent direction. After hearing the simple, but profound testimony of Tom, I was dramatically impacted. He had spoken deliberately, thoughtfully choosing every word, appearing to see anew everything he was describing, and sometimes speaking so low that it was hard to hear. After hearing his testimony many times over the next 14 years, that same heavy conviction that gripped my life that day, was renewed afresh. There was not a doubt in my mind, this man died, went to hell, and through prayer was raised back to life.
