All Authority In Heaven And On Earth

Nowadays many Christians believe the rule and reign of Jesus is limited to "spiritual" matters of a personal sort. The kingdom most Christians are willing to embrace is something that does not threaten their personal peace and comfort. After all, isn't the Christian life all about me? Absolutely not. Jesus said all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to him. He didn't say all authority in heaven and earth would be given to him at a later date. Jesus was declared the Son with power at his resurrection and his ascension was to a position of ruling authority. Truly, nations are his inheritance and the ends of the earth his possession. Not tomorrow, not sometime in the future but now.
