Many plays, poems, novels and film scripts have been written about the life of Jesus, yet none of them has focused in any great depth on what is perhaps the most spiritually dramatic period of all:¿his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. Written in free verse, A Prayer in Gethsemane aims to achieve a natural yet heightened form of language that is worthy of its exalted subject. It strives to reach the heart and soul of Jesus and will appeal to fans of poetry, and religious readers - Christians in particular.
