Considering the ways the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 have been aestheticized, exploited, and appropriated, this title examines the complex and paradoxical character of American public discourse since then. Calling for a sustained cultural and theoretical analysis, it considers these events with a perspective grounded in the humanities.
