What's Your Jobbie?

What' s Your Jobbie is a rip roaring satire, rude and raucous, by turn, on all the people and Institutions who cause so much grief to people all over Ireland, who are trying their best to get on with living their day-to- day lives without too much interference. The politicians come in for the most satire, since they generate so much chaos in people' s everyday lives, while financial institutions, especially the vulture and cuckoo funds, come under equally withering attack for all their relentless greed at the expense of Ireland' s law abiding and straight living citizens and families. Other people and groups who are satirised include pen pushers ( literally) in local government, diplomats, post office closers, housing officials, bus scheme officials, fake brands' retailers and queue managers in hospitals. The list could go on and on and on, but the author has chosen to concentrate on a carefully selected bunch of targets, concluding with the well- named Minister for Gobbledegook, churning out totally obscure statements and promises that in actual fact, are worthless. The satire is unrelenting as the book reveals as much as it can about the real workings of those who rule over us, supposedly in our own best interests.
