MFIT's thirteenth issue of the Missing Faces In Teaching is part five of ancient Scotland & Europe. The carefully selected themes of the dragon and sacred geometry as the quincunx or Q/5th concept demonstrate its deep philosophical origins from Africa, and its movement of memory (Carr, 2020) into the art as semiotic texts through the study of medieval heraldic crests.
This issue as number 13, is significant for its demand in complexity of thought, and in reverence to the intricacy of cultural meaning-making, and the sovereign rulers as the custodians of ancient knowledge systems.
