As Flo Weiss traveled and taught around the world, she was always fascinated by how different the sounds were the animals made in other countries. Pictures that Flo took in her travels were used as the backdrop for each illustration. Artist LeAnn Alstadt lovingly crafted the illustrations that provide a snapshot of the country featured, including a boy and girl in their native dress.
