Before he was a solo mega-star, George Michael was one half of a British pop duo called WHAM!. They released three albums between 1983 and 1986, spent ten days in China in 1985, and had a farewell concert at Wembley Stadium, London in June 1986. They produced a handful of hit singles in the 1980s, including one of the most popular contemporary Christmas songs ever recorded.
In June 2023, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album, a 2023 documentary film simply titled WHAM! was released and can be found on Netflix.
This project simply pairs the alphabet with 26 songs, and unfortunately, due to a small number of available songs to choose from, the list had to be padded with two instrumental versions and one 1986 remix of three songs already appearing on the list.
