Veteris Testamenti Aethiopici Tomus Primus, Sive Octateuchus Aethiopicus

This book is a critical edition of the first eight books of the Old Testament in the Ethiopic language, also known as Ge'ez. Its editor, August Dillmann, a renowned German scholar of Semitic languages, undertook this work in the second half of the 19th century, with the goal of providing a reliable and comprehensive text of the Ethiopian Bible, which had been largely neglected by Western biblical studies. The book includes extensive notes on the linguistic, historical, and cultural aspects of the text.
