Unemployment in China

China's market-oriented economic reform and industrial restructuring, while greatly improving efficiency, have also sharply reduced overstaffing. Looking at Chinese economy, this work discusses issues related to the unemployment problem in China, examines problems of particular cities, and appraises the government response.
