Trailer Trash Testimonies

Paige A. Cook's debut poetry collection, Trailer Trash Testimonies, explores the gritty upbringing of the impoverished in Appalachia. Ranging from melodic micropoetry to long stanzas filled with feminine rage, the mostly rhyming poetry features themes of addiction through the lens of children, alcoholism, mental health, and the beauty in the duality of southern regions. Her inspiration was drawn from the rippling creeks in the Wild and Wonderful West Virginia and the monsters she was told were lurking in the woods. The collection is a tribute to those who grew up too fast.
