Mental illness is an issue that is very much still hampered by the reliance upon both Materialism and Religion. Although the labels have changed in today's world, little has changed since the Middle Ages. In this book, both well-known figures from the field of psychology and medical field provide their input from the Heavenside, as do a number of individuals who had lifetimes burdened with mental illness labels. Whether it's an exorcism or a hanging to deal with the "demons" that have taken over an individual, or shock treatment and incarceration, there is little difference to the individual who is the target of these unenlightened approaches. In either case, society has long demonstrated ignorance to the issue, and unnecessary pain and suffering has resulted.
