Om The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher (Annotated)

"The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher" is a children's book written by Beatrix Potter and first published in 1906. What follows is a brief overview : Mr. Jeremy Fisher is a frog that resides in a little damp home amongst the buttercukes close to a pond. Mr Jeremy likes fishing in his pond and hunts for minnows for supper one day. He dons his waterproof coat and galosh and heads out on his lily-pad - shaped boat with his fishing rod and worms canister. But his fishing trip is not as relaxing as he had hoped. After that he omits snagging his fish and receives a boot on his fishing line instead. A water beetle attempts to enter the can of worms and a group of sticklebacks punctures his hands later on. He gets the most severe scare when he gets bit on his toe and is practically sucked into a gigantic trout. Jeremy just barely escapes, wet and scared. Mr Jeremy Fisher quits his fishing expedition and returns home. He's left disappointed when his pals Sir Isaac Newton (a newt) and Alderman Ptolmy Tortoise visit him. An evening is spent together, and instead of eating minnows they indulge in roasted grasshopper with ladybird - sauce - a real treat.
