Most of us measure our value by human standards. We want to matter. We expend a lifetime of energy to achieve a sense of significance by hiding our weaknesses and touting our real or perceived strengths. We judge ourselves to be demoted in worth because of our failings. We allow the weight of our deficiencies to defeat any expectation of recovery. We and others often define us as defunct. What we truly need is a different sort of mirror to view ourselves. We are all born with a yearning for Someone beyond us Who is perfect and powerful. We can do an inner pivot and find the One Who made us. We can be transformed by the power of redemption. Follow the lives of seven unlikely companions forced together by a natural disaster.
