The Organized Marine Corps Reserve in World War Two - 2nd Edition

The Organized Marine Corps Reserve was mobilized in November and December 1940 as part of the United States efforts to prepare for entry into World War Two. When the country went to war following the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, mobilizes Marine Reservists served with distinction throughout the campaigns that resulted in Victory over Japan.
