Saskatchewan, late summer 1947, Mike Bodnar, Canadian WWII veteran was riding the rails to avoid his old life. Captured at the ill fated raid on Dieppe in 1942. Damaged after spending 3 years in German POW camps. Near the tracks, Mike finds the body of a young man thrown from a passing train. Searching the body for ID he finds his best friend's army tags. His old life comes crashing back.
Just as he finds his buddy, Caz, they are kidnapped by mobsters on the orders of his old British lover, Valerie. They now are forced to relive their prisoner nightmares and reveal a Nazi secret that could be worth a fortune in the wrong hands.
Did Valerie still love him or was he being used for her greedy plans? Would he live long enough to know?
