The Meadow

Many people believe that science is leading us in the wrong direction. Just how far should we go in developing self-driving cars or creating human-like robots? Elizabeth Preston and Sean Foster will come face to face with that conundrum when they first climb the hill at Seth's Pond. It starts with an inquiry to establish the construction date of a house supposedly built in 1564 and is the family home of the Bakers. The original family is still living there. Being 2024, that would put the house, and the Bakers, at four hundred and sixty years old. As the mystery expands, it draws in angry and frightened townspeople, the local police, the military, and ends with orders from the President of The United States. The answer lies with Dr. Donald Starr whose work may lead to a better world or the dystopian future many fear is coming.
