Five characters, five tales. Meet Endy, a writer trapped in a torrid love affair with Manhattan; Dana, a young woman on a crusade to save the souls of the city's sinners; an emotionally barren tattooist who lives to inflict pain onto others; a homeless bum whose bizarre delusions reflect the madness of those around him; and Shade, a harrowingly dark figure whose relentless search for purpose and meaning leads him into Manhattan's underground world of violence, crime, and perverse sexuality. Hidden tales and plots are unfolded as each character crosses and re-crosses the paths of the other characters.
