Because of global trade and interaction between countries, the products of intellectual property right holders, have become the prey for counterfeiters. In a bid to control global trade and intellectual property (IP), various international agreements have seen the light over the years. Ineffective regulatory and enforcement measures against counterfeiting and piracy could have detrimental effect for IPR Holders and/or loss of revenue for countries across the globe.
