Enter a good guy, David Langston, who rides to the rescue, and becomes her recording agent, and then her fiancé, until tragedy strikes again. A local, thieving, Nashville disc jockey, Freddy Burd, then steals her heart, and her money, until he exits, courtesy of mob hitman Rocko Santini.
Supporting Carlene throughout her journey are her father Charley Foster, her Aunt Millie, her Uncle Doug, and God, who instructs Bobby Ross to make sure she does what is necessary to be saved, and enter God's kingdom.
Travel with Carlene as she learns the greatness of God's love, and forgiveness. She then becomes a shining light which gives others hope, and confidence, to walk in the Lord's straight path to the narrow gate which is the entryway into heaven.
