The Idea of Critique addresses the shortcomings of existing literature by developing an original, detailed and comprehensive interpretation of Bhaskar's account of explanatory critique, exhibiting the dialectical unity of his thought at a deep level, and situating and defending his account as a powerful new paradigm within the tradition of Critical Theory.
