Dr. Lillian Dixon heads research teams around the world. She personally works with one at an ancient German castle near the Black Forest. She and her team of renowned biologists and entomologists find a nightmare awaiting them. A simple research project turns dark and deadly. The other scientists don't understand why Dixon, a paleontologist, is in charge. But there is some type of connection with an ancient fossil found in Spain - a fossil that moved when unearthed! Dixon's other team in Kentucky are terrorized by warmblooded tumbleweeds. When deaths start to occur from interactions with their research entities, survival becomes the new focus.
